Ronald Reagan Home and School Flyer Distribution Guidelines:
- Flyers must meet criteria specified by BOE Policy 9700.02
- Flyers must be sponsored by an organization that is non-commercial, nonprofit, non-sectarian, and non-political.
- Flyers must be appropriate for the age level of children attending New Berlin Public Schools and not conflict with the instructional day.
- Flyers must be submitted to the HSA Executive Board electronically via email for approval before distribution.
- Submissions must include the following:
- Copy of flyer (electronic)
- Contact information Name, e-mail, and phone number
- Please note that the district's rule for distribution will be via e-mail (hard copy distribution will be by exception)
- Planned distribution date
- Flyers which contain student photos and/or first names must be checked for Media/Web Release by the district administration prior to distribution, even if parents give you permission directly. This process can take up to 5 working days. Student's first and last names must be included with the submission for checking purposes even when the names are not included in the flyer text. Photos of five or more students that do not include names are exempt from this procedure. Please account for this additional step when submitting flyers.
- The contact person will be notified of approval. The Principal will be notified by the HSA President or Vice President of the approval. Submissions must be received no later than the Friday night prior to the planned distribution week to allow time for approval before distribution.
- Distribution
- E-mail distribution - When a flyer has been approved for e-mail distribution, the HSA Vice-President will forward it to the school administrative assistants for inclusion in the next Eagle Express e-mail to Reagan parents and staff.
- Paper copy distribution - The group submitting the flyer is responsible for making copies and distribution into teacher mailboxes.
